Diolce Typeface

Diolce Display is a font inspired by mascarons, adorning the city of Bordeaux. Originally from Italy, they developed during the Renaissance, traveling across Europe, notably thanks to triangular trade.

Slightly condensed, Diolce is expressed through flared serifs. The contrasts between the full and the thin lines reproduce the finely vegetal details chiseled by the hand and the tool of the craftsman.
